  • Vote on Election Day

    Date and time:
    14 September 2010 - 7:00am - 8:00pm

One of the Seven Principles is the use of the democratic process in making decisions.  Live that principle and exercise your right to vote by going to the polls this election season. The 2010 Maryland Gubernatorial Primary Election is Tuesday, September 14. In St. Mary's County, there are no non-partisan races on the primary ballot, so only registered Democrats and Republicans should go to the polls. All voters may vote on the General Election day in November.

To learn more about the candidates, you can download the Voters' Guide from the non-partisan League of Women Voters of St. Mary's (smc.lwvmd.org) or visit the online "Build a Ballot" site at www.thevoterguide.org/v/lwvmd.

    - Early Voting is available September 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 (closed Sunday) from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Go to the Potomac Building, Room 14, at 23115 Leonard Hall Drive in Leonardtown, MD 20650.

    - You may also vote by Absentee Ballot. Contact the Board of Elections (http://www.co.saint-marys.md.us/supervisorofelections/ or 301-475-7844 ext. 1610) before September 7 for a mail-in application. After that date, you can still get an application, but you have to go in person.

  • A Walk on the Wild Side-Weed Walk

Please pre-register with Chris by calling 301-472-4279 or email: chriswhf [at] yahoo [dot] com.
Workshop date and time: Saturday, September 18, 2 to 5pm.
