We offer a warm welcome to our newest members: Leslie and Theresia.
The board reviewed the pledges to-date for next year and the desired budget. May Town Hall will address the budget, review of financial status, use of the savings for asset acquisition, and the costs of moving to a new location. It is coincident with a Mexican theme potluck.
The board accepted the contract/lease for the Hollywood Recreational Center starting in July for one year. It will be finalized with St Mary’s County Parks and Recs. Note: Our mailing address will remain with the Leonardtown Post Office.
The nominating committee report was given. Debs, Joyce, and Janeen will continue on the board. James has agreed to be nominated for a second term as an at-large member. Frank R has agreed to run for secretary and Carl L as member-at-large. The remaining at-large seat can be filled by a nomination from the floor during the annual meeting or remain vacant. Jackie will continue serving her two-year term on the nominating committee, and two slots need to be filled.
May 27th is an open Sunday and has been proposed as a “singing Sunday.”
