Policy on emergency cancellation updated
At the December 14th Board Meeting, the board unanimously adopted changes to the policy on emergency cancelation.

UUFSM POLICY: EMERGENCY CANCELLATION (updated 14 Dec 2011)
If a service or activity needs to be cancelled because of severe weather or other problem, the Board Chair (or Vice Chair or designated Board Member) will consult with the Minister or Worship Chair or the leader of the activity and make the decision. Early cancellation is recommended. Worship services should be canceled no later than 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. The Board Representative and the Worship Chair will then follow the Emergency Notification Procedure. If the Board Chair, Vice Chair, or Worship Chair is unavailable, any one of those people may make the decision to cancel without consulting the others
