RE Class: Truth Seekers
The Truth Seekers class is for Middle and High School students, grades seven through twelve. The class attends Sunday services and meets at other times during the week. Schedules can vary; please check the calendar.
In keeping with this year's Lifespan Religious Education theme, "Building a Better World" we will be focusing on Social Justice issues.
Monthly YRUU activities will be planned during the Truth Seekers class (see "Events"). Last year we traveled to Busch Gardens for Howl-O-Scream in October and attended the disctrict YRUU Conference, "JoUUrny Towards TrUUth" at the First UU Church in Baltimore. Other activities included movie nights and helping to plant a garden at the homeless shelter. Some of us attended Union Sunday at First UU in Baltimore to learn about and celebrate the origins of Unitarianism in the United States.

History: An Act of Love Often we view love as between two people this time of year. What is we reconsider this and see love as the act of sharing, enriching, and empowering through knowledge. This would make things such as History more than just the past but rather an act of love. Let us consider some moments in history as moments of love in time. -Lex Cade-White, Intern Minister at All Souls, will be our speaker. She is currently in her last year at the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge. Her studies include a special focus on race relations, urban ministry and Unitarian Universalism. Her undergraduate work was at Mt. Holyoke where she majored in both psychology and religion. Assistant: James Walker |

Goddess Knows As Unitarian Universalists (UU) we are not limited to one image of God, but free to explore whatever images might empower us. This service looks to Paganism and Earth-based Spirituality; namely, that it reminds us of nature as teacher; celebrates the role of women in religion; invents creative rituals that engage our bodies and presents challenges for integration into UU worship. To the question of where we should seek our own personal enlightenment: Goddess only knows. “For the Earth, the Sky, Above and Below, for our Mother Earth, and for the Mystery.” ---Sermon written by Rev.
