Trivia Tests Our Brains and Sportsmanship
Sunday, September 26, was our first trvia game and ice cream social. Avril Warren and Julia Thor were our amazing organizers and quizmasters. They oversaw a complex scoring system and questions from a wide variety of categories. The teams were composed randomly by counting off 1 through five, the winning group was comprised of Judy Osborn, Jim Stubbs and Janeen Grohsmeyer. Afterwards we enjoyed Bruster's ice cream with many toppings brought by congregation members. Before all the fun Joyce Judd conducted a service that revolved around Rev. David O. Rankin's, "What do Unitarian Universalists believe?" and an amusing conversation by Rev. Robert Fulghum concerning UU's open-minded atitudes.
Thanks to the Religious Education teachers: Chris Schmittenner, James Walker, Jackie Triplett, Corrine Stubbs and Evila, who oversaw the Chalice Children and The Story Tellers.
