On Saturday, 9 July 2011, members of the Fellowship met at the Lexington Park Library to review the organizational structure of UUFSM. We reviewed our mission statement and agreed that the seven committees do support the mission and that the tasks they do are necessary. We also agreed that the term "committee" was misleading, as the tasks are handled in different ways.
Therefore, we decided to use "Interest Areas" instead of committees. Board Liaisons will now have "portfolios" instead of committee assignments. We also discussed ways to improve communication and reduce burnout, and we gave feedback on each of the areas.
