The sixth UU principle is "The right of conscience and the use of democratic process within our congregations and in society at large." We encourage everyone to learn more about current issues that affect our society.
 
A public forum on the Dream Act will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 8th, at the Middleham Chapel Great Hall on 10210 H. G.Truman Road in Lusby. The Maryland Dream Act allows undocumented students to pay instate tuition at Maryland state colleges and universities if they meet certain requirements. There will be a panel of three speakers for and three speakers against the proposed act. This will be on the ballot for the 2012 election.
