The Webmaster maintains the UUFSM website www.uufsm.org and its links to relevant UU internet sites. Information for the web should be coordinated with Worship, the RE Committee, Membership, and other Board Liaisons who have information that would be interesting or helpful to persons researching Unitarian Universalism on the internet. The website will be reviewed periodically by the Board of Trustees for content and scope.
Emergency Cancellation In the event of the cancellation of a Sunday Service, the Board Chair will contact the webmaster by 8:40. The webmaster will put an announcement on the front page of our website, our Facebook Page, and on the online calendar by 9:00 a.m.
WebSite Information
The website is hosted at www.Bluehost.com. Cost is ~$100 a year. Email aliases, databases, and URL Forwarding are included.
An online database of members and friends was developed in Summer 2009 using the Drupal Content Management System (www.drupal.org). Accounts for individuals are created by the webmaster. Members and Friends are encourged to post events and news items and to maintain their own contaction information.
Items posted to our website should be "shared" with our Facebook page. Encourage everyone to share items on our Facebook page and on our website with local friends.
