Guided Canoe Trip on Parker's Creek (Calvert County)

Teens and sponsors will go canoeing in Calvert County. This trip is provided by the American Chestnut Land Trust (ACLT) in Calvert County.  See their very informative web site for more information about the ACLT.  The launch site is called "Warrier's Rest," located at 1920 Scientist Cliffs Road, Port Republic, MD  20676

We will probably car pool and will plan to arrive at Warrier's rest least 20 minutes early to sign in and register.  We will be using the ACLT provided equipment (if more participants would like to go than are currently registered we might consider taking a canoe or kayak provided by a UUFSM member, but this would need to be cleared through the ACLT).

Each participant should bring a bottle of water, a snack, sunscreen (Jackie will bring some extra water and snacks), hat, shoes that can get wet, and BUG SPRAY!  There is a rest room and a portable toilet on the property.

 A $10.00 per person donation is requested by the ACLT.  Please turn in your money to a UUFSM Youth Advisor by Sunday, May 2 (Union Sunday).  All funds collected are dedicated to the ACLT Canoe trip program.
