Curriculum: Stories about God
Theme and Description Looks at God as the central symbol in a religious communication system. This liberal and eclectic theology is story-based and covers three themes: God is a oneness that can take many forms; God is love and worth that can take many forms; and God is mystery that can take many forms. Addresses the spiritual and theological needs of young children.

Goals for Participants
- To have a variety of experiences with the entity called God, and to explore the ultimate reality, values, and mystery about life
- To develop a language with which to speak about God
- To experience a wide variety of stories about God, which help give insights
- To understand that God takes many forms and has many names
- To express their own thoughts and feelings about God.

Space Requirements Ideally, a large room with space for a book table and activities. A small room is fine if there is access to a larger space occasionally.

Strengths

Limitation The format of each session is the same. While this consistency can be a strength for young children, the repetition for 30 weeks can be monotonous for some.
Adaptability
- Sessions do not have to be done in sequence
- Sessions can be omitted to shorten the program.
