RE Class: Chalice Children
Our youngest members enjoy a quiet room to sleep or play. Our theme this year is "Building a Better World," and the story and activity focus on learning about taking care of each other and the world, and on being kind and fair to everyone.
We encourage children of all ages to attend the beginning of the worship service, so that families can worship together. Children are escorted to their class by their teacher at about 10:45. Parents/guardians do have the option of taking their children directly to the nursery (it opens at 10:20), which may work better for babies and active toddlers. Adults are welcome to stay until the child is comfortable in the new surroundings.
Parents should bring a diaper bag stocked with a change of clothes, extra diapers and diaper wipes, and a bottle or sippy cup with their favorite beverage. Snacks are allowed; please bring ones that can be cleaned up easily: crackers, cheerios, raisins, etc. No peanut butter, please.
Parents and Guardians of children four years and younger at UUFSM should register their children for this class.
