Highlights from March Board Meeting
Highlights from the March Board Meeting:
- Missy Fallabel was appointed acting Secretary until June 2010.
- The Board reviewed and approved the details of Michael's contract for next year. He will be with us on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, from 5 September 2010 to 5 June 2011, for a total of 19 Sundays.
- Our proposed schedule for this fall is a Workshop and Picnic on Sunday, September 5, and the Water Ceremony on Sunday, September 12.
- At the suggestion of Marianna Nystrom, May has been designated as Music Gratitude Month, and we will be collecting donations to help pay for the new piano.
- Board members will be contacting Fellowship members who have not turned in their Pledge Forms by 28 March.
- Committee "first-dates" have been scheduled for Sundays in April and May. (see schedule in the calendar section.) Board Liaisons will be coordinating the mini-meetings, where you can learn more about what each committee does then decide if and how you want to be involved.
- The April charity is collecting money for gardens at Three Oaks and the Charter School. The May charity will be a project of the UU Service Committee.
- Jim Stubbs, the Board Liaison for the Sunday Mornings Committee, will be the contact person for the Charter School. Our contract with the school expires at the end of June, and we will need to either renew it or find a new place.
The next board meeting will be on Sunday, 18 April 2010, from 3 to 4:30 at Joyce Judd's house.
