In the past we have usually begun the new church year with a picnic; this year it will be held September 4, at George B. Cecil Park in Valley Lee. (See the directions to the park below.) We have rented a large pavillion which is furnished with picnic tables and electricity. There is a children's playground, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, a baseball field and restrooms. Food will be potluck. The time will be from 11:00AM to 3:00PM. The hospitality committee will provide paper plates, plastic utensils, and beverages. Please remember we are not allowed any alcoholic drinks for church-sponsored functions under our insurance agreement nor do we have a permit from Parks and Rec.

DIRECTIONS
From Route 5 in Callaway, turn on Piney Point Road (Route 249) south and go 3.4 miles. Turn left onto Drayden Road and go 0.3 miles. Turn left onto St. George’s Church Road and go 0.6 miles. Turn left onto Dirt Drive Way into the park.
From the Chesapeake Charter School - From the parking lot, turn right onto Great Mills Road and go 0.4 mi. Turn right onto Route 5 and go 0.3 miles. Turn left onto Flat Iron Road and go 3 miles. Turn right onto St. George's Church Road and go 0.5 miles. Turn right onto Dirt Drive Way into the park.
