Letter from the Minister
Cleaning the river, I see a sack full of someone's lunch.
"Well," I thought, "at least they tied it up nicely before they threw it in the river."
Of course, they could have used the trash can in the nearby park playground.
So now I'm mad about this.
But I'm there with other people, all cleaning,
All finding their own crazy story laying near our common river: car tires, needles, coke cans...
Being mad together, we have fun at this.
Our fellowship heals us.
-Rev. Michael Relland

Afterwards we enjoyed Bruster's ice cream with many toppings brought by congregation members. Before all the fun Joyce Judd conducted a service that revolved around Rev. David O.

St Mary's Caring Soup Kitchen
The soup kitchen was founded by two Roman Catholic Nuns in 1993 and it was called Mary's Song. They eventually decided to move on to other ministries, and in 1998, they dissolved their corporation and transferred the assets and responsibilities to St. Mary's Caring. It is a community based non-profit, not affiliated with any other organization, and has been operating the soup kitchen for more than ten years.
