Thank-you Letter from Science Fair
25 March 2010
Dear UUFSM,
We are, as ever, most grateful for the support from our local businesses and professional organizations. We are particularly thankful for the targeted support that we have received from the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Southern Maryland. You clearly reached into the community to make a measurable difference in the lives of our students.

Dear Friends:
Thank you for the contribution of $285 to the Ascension / H.O.P.E. Food Pantry. Your contribution will go a long way toward feeding the needy in St. Mary's County. The Food Pantry at the Church of the Ascension in Lexington Park has provided food to those in need for more than 20 years. It is sponsored by the Church, however it is administered by H.O.P.E. (Helpers Overcoming Problems Effectively), which also provides rental assistance, hep with electric bills, fuel and other household needs.

JPD YSC Presents: SummerCON ‘10: I’m CON a Boat!
This year’s Summer Con will be hosted by the UU church of Rockville, Maryland on July 9-11th. The theme is water so be sure to bring your swim suit or swim trunks and a towel. This is the last con for the bridgers (HS seniors), but it will be the first con for incoming freshmen! It’ll be a great time.
Team: Land and Building
UUFSM is committed to the future. People in the Land and Building Team help us find our way there.
If you're interested in looking for ways that the Fellowship can acquire land and a building, either by buying, building, or joining with other small groups to create a center to share, then please join this Team today!
If your vision of the Fellowship includes a building of our own, join today and help make it happen!
Chalice Lighters
Chalice Lighters Mission Statement: In order to increase the impact of Unitarian Universalism on both individuals and the world, it is the mission of the Chalice Lighters to grow and strengthen Unitarian Universalism in the JPD by supporting and encouraging new and existing congregations.
Individuals become Chalice Lighters by pledging to send $60 a year. That money is then given in grants to congregations within the Joseph Priestley District.
The Great Paper Swap and Sort
Got UUFSM papers? If you're holding UUFSM files or resources in your home that you're not using or that you think other people should have access to, please bring them on Sunday, June 27. We'll be sorting through them all after the service, then consolidating, reorganizing, and recycling them, before deciding who takes what home.
We'll have a table (or two) for each committee, and people can put all the files for that committee on that table.
PLEASE PRE-SORT! Our committees are:
