The Board of Trustees consists of seven persons
elected at the June annual meeting of the
congregation;
three members are elected in one year, four members the next year. Each
trustee serves a two-year term. The congregation elects the secretary,
the treasurer, and
five trustees. Each year, the board chooses a chair and vice chair from
the other five trustees to serve a one-year term for these offices. The board is responsible for any property owned by the Fellowship, overseeing the operation of the Fellowship, and setting its policies. The board meets monthly. (See the calendar for their schedule.) The board may also call special meetings of the congregation to reach decisions. |

We have seven Teams at UUFSM. Each Team has a Board Liaison, who offers assistance and advice, coordinates the different tasks and committees on the team when necessary, oversees the budget, and signs vouchers. The spirit of the individual is nurtured on Sunday Mornings and by Life Span Religious Education. We strengthen our communities through Social Justice Action and Fellowship Builders. To support us in reaching our goals, we rely on Finance and Stewardship for the resources we need, and on Communication for staying connected with each other and for sharing our message. The UU Matters Team deals with internal affairs and with the Joseph Priestley District and the Unitarian Universalist Association, which provide support, information, and resources to everyone in the Fellowship. The Board of Trustees oversees the entire Fellowship and helps to coordinates the different teams. | |||||||||||||||||
