The Program for Small Group Ministry at UUFSM

   We Unitarian Universalists come to our faith from many different traditions and for many different reasons.  But for most of us, a sense of community is at the core of our connection with our Fellowship.  We come to support one another on our spiritual and personal journeys, to learn from one another’s perspectives and experiences, even simply to enjoy one another’s company.       Chalice Circles are small groups that meet regularly, usually twice a month for about two hours in a member's home. Some are organized geographically, others by interest.  They serve to enhance this sense of community by exploring issues of religious or personal concern and sharing significant life events.  Groups are also encouraged  to engage in service to the Fellowship and to the larger community. In addition to their regular meetings, some groups choose to meet for occasional social events and/or to engage in service projects.

MEMBERSHIP All members and friends of UUFSM are welcome to participate in Chalice Circles.  All groups are open to new members.  The ideal size of a group is approximately 6 to 10 members.  If the size of a group starts to become unwieldy, new groups can be formed.  Please email if you'd like more information. 

UUFSM ChoirFellowship Choir
The choir practices on Wednesday evenings and performs twice a month on Sunday mornings.  Voices in every range are welcome! Musicians welcome, too!

Social Events
UUFSM holds an annual picnic on Labor Day weekend.  Our annual auction happens in the Fall, and in the Spring we have a banquet. During the year, members often gather to see plays, hold potlucks at each other's homes, go bird watching, play cards or golf, and just basically have a good time.
